Ambassador Terms
Alan Daniel · Ambassador Program
Ambassador Terms
Plain English. Read it once — it’s short.
What you get
- A personal discount code that gives 10% off to anyone who uses it, on eligible products.
- 10% commission on the subtotal of every order placed with your code, calculated after the discount is applied.
- Early access to new releases.
- Free product may be provided at our discretion. Any specifics will be confirmed with you directly in writing.
How the code works
- Each code can be used once per customer. It’s a welcome offer for someone new to the brand, not a standing discount they can reuse on every order.
- The code applies to eligible products only and can’t be combined with other discounts, sales, or promo codes.
- Your code has no expiry date, but we may deactivate it if the account goes inactive or these terms are broken.
How you get paid
- Commission is calculated monthly and paid by the 10th of the following month.
- Payment goes to the PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App account you provided. Keep it current — we can’t recover funds sent to an old handle you gave us.
- Balances under $25 roll over to the next month.
- Refunded, cancelled, or fraudulent orders do not earn commission. If an order is refunded after you’ve been paid, that amount is deducted from your next payout.
What you can’t do
- No coupon or deal sites. Don’t post your code to RetailMeNot, Honey, Slickdeals, coupon subreddits, or Facebook deal groups. This is the fastest way to lose your spot.
- No paid ads on our brand name. Don’t run ads bidding on “Alan Daniel” or close variations of it.
- No misrepresentation. Don’t claim to work for Alan Daniel, don’t speak on our behalf, and don’t make claims about our products that we haven’t made ourselves.
- Self-purchases: you may use your own code on one personal order and earn commission on it. After that, your code won’t pay commission on your own orders.
- Nothing that damages the brand. Hate speech, harassment, or illegal content associated with your account ends the relationship immediately.
Content
- You own what you make. By tagging us, you’re giving us permission to share it on our channels with credit.
- You’re not required to post on any schedule. We’d rather have three real posts a year than twelve that feel forced.
- Where required by law, disclose that you earn a commission. In the US the FTC requires this — #ad, #ambassador, or “I earn a commission from this code” all work. Put it where people will actually see it, not buried in hashtags.
The relationship
- You’re an independent contractor, not an employee. No employment relationship is created by these terms.
- You’re responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. If we pay you $600 or more in a calendar year, US law requires us to collect a W-9 and issue you a 1099-NEC.
- Either of us can end this at any time, for any reason. If we end it, you’ll still be paid any commission you’ve already earned.
- We may update these terms with notice by email.

Why Does The A Appear Below the D in the AD logo?
The design of the AD logo in Alan Daniel, where the A is in front but appears positioned below the D, evokes a sense of honor and power. This can be likened to the concept of "tlalcualiztli" from ancient Nahuatl culture, which involves bowing down to the earth as a sign of reverence. Similarly, as one bows and looks up, they first see the A and then the D, symbolizing respect and the acknowledgment of power.
